SECTION 2.1.1 - ADD A NEW
MORTGAGE
USAGE: To add a new Mortgage to the Mortgage master-file.
DISCUSSION: When you start this function, the computer will
initially ask for a Client/Trust code. Insert a code and press <Enter>. The Client/Trust code structure is defined in SECTION 1. The
Trust file must already exist and must not be complete.
To return to the MORTGAGE MAINTENANCE MENU, press <ESC>.
Once T.L.A. has accepted the Trust account you will
be presented with the first page of fields you can enter information into.
These fields are fully described in SECTION 2.
The screen appear as follows:
Where required, enter a value into each field that
is surrounded by brackets. To move to the next field, press <Enter>. Complete your entry by pressing <F10>. If T.L.A. has found no inconsistencies in your
entries, you will be asked to confirm and the information will then be saved to
disk.
Several function keys are available while you enter
the information on this page:
<F9> This initiates a search through the Client/Trust
master-file for an entry suitable for a Mortgagee.
<F10> This will move you to the second page of entry.
Pressing <F10> can save you having to
press <Enter> all the way to the end of
the screen.
<ESC> This will abort the entry of the Mortgage. If you
press <ESC>, the Mortgage will not be
saved to the Mortgage master-file.
When you move to the second page, the screen appears
as follows:
Several function keys are available while you enter
the Mortgage information:
<F1> or <PgUp> This will
return you to page one.
<F4> This allows you to enter a note detailing any
non-structured information. This is free format information that can include
any details not specifically allocated for elsewhere.
<F6> This allows you to enter any collateral
information. It is a free format field. It can be used as an extention of the
security information field.
<F10> This will end the input phase and cause T.L.A. to
test the screen ready for update. Pressing <F10> can save you having to
press <Enter> all the way to the end of
the screen.
<ESC> This will abort the entry of the Mortgage record. If
you press <ESC>, the Mortgage record will
not be saved to the Mortgage master-file.
