6.4.1 - CHART OF ACCOUNTS
USAGE: To print a list of accounts available on the
General Ledger master-file. Although you can search the General Ledger for an
account when entering transactions, it is sometimes more convenient to have a
printed list to refer to.
DISCUSSION: When you enter this program, the following
questions will appear:
USE LONG FORMAT REPORT If you are using wide stationery, reply Y, otherwise reply N. This question will only be
displayed if the relevant option is set to A, see SECTION 6.1.2.
START A NEW PAGE ON
CHANGE OF ACCOUNT TYPE Account ranges are described
in SECTION 6.5.1.
If you enter Y here, the report will be
split up by range with each account range starting on a new page. Otherwise,
the report will print the accounts continuously.
ACCOUNT RANGE If you wish to limit the report to a range of accounts, enter the
upper and lower limits here. The report will only print transactions within
that range, inclusive. If you wish to print all accounts, bypass these fields.
To start the report, press <Enter> through each field or simply press <F10>.
The report itself will detail the account number,
description, expected sign and account type. At the end of the report, the
total number of accounts will be printed.
