6.3.3.3.4 - GENERAL LEDGER STANDING JOURNAL LIST
USAGE: To produce a complete list of
all or a range of Standing Journals. The report is always printed in Journal
Name order.
DISCUSSION: If you have chosen to allow short and long form reports, you will be asked USE LONG FORMAT REPORT? Choose the form you wish by entering Y or N.
Next you will be asked PRINT DETAILS? If you answer N, the report will just print a list of the
names of the Standing Journals. If you answer Y, the details of each Standing Journal will also be
printed.
Next you will be asked, INCLUDE ALL STANDING JOURNALS? If you enter Y all Standing Journals on file will be printed and no further questions
will be asked. (Go to the START REPORT question.) If you press <ESC> you will return to the STANDING JOURNALS MENU.
If you enter N to the above question, the
following series of questions will appear:
FROM NAME This is the lower limit of the Standing Journal
name. Here you enter the name of the first Standing Journal you wish printed.
The default answer is blank. This will start printing from the start of the
Standing Journals file.
TO NAME This is the upper limit of the Standing Journals
name. Here you enter the name of the last Standing Journal you wish printed.
The default answer is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. This will end printing at
the end of the Standing Journal file. This entry must not be less than the
starting Standing Journal name. If you choose the default for both questions
all Standing Journals will be included.
At each point when answering the above questions,
you can press <ESC> and the program will reset
and return you to the STANDING JOURNALS
MENU.
When you have entered all the above information,
press <F10> and you will be asked, START REPORT? If you answer N, the program will reset and
return you to the beginning. If you enter Y, the screen will clear and
the Salesman master-file will be read in. During this time the computer will be
selecting Standing Journals according to the selection criteria you have just
entered and will generate the report.
When the report has completed, HiFinance will return
you to the STANDING JOURNALS MENU.
The selection criteria are printed in the heading
lines of the report. The report itself will detail the Standing Journal’s name
and the number of detail lines. If you have chosen to print the details, the
report will then (for each Journal) print, for each detail line, the General
Ledger code, the Details you have entered for that line and the default
transaction value.
At the end of the report, the total of Standing
Journals (headers only) printed in this run will be printed.
