SECTION 5.4.6 - PREDICTED STOCK LEVELS

USAGE: This report attempts to predict when you will run out of stock, Basically, it uses the current stock-on-hand values for each component and works forward to a selected day and recomputes the expected levels of the components (assuming that no deliveries occur in the mean time).

DISCUSSION: The report is always printed in Inventory code order.

When you enter this program, the following questions will appear:

USE LONG FORMAT REPORT     If you are using wide stationery, reply Y, otherwise reply N. This question will only be displayed if the relevant option is set to A, see SECTION 7.1.2.

INVENTORY CODE RANGE          This is the Assembly code.

INVENTORY GROUP CODE RANGE       This is the Assembly’s Inventory Group code.

STARTING FROM DATE   This is the date you wish the report to start from.

To start the report, press <Enter> through each field or simply press <F10>.

The report itself will detail for 7 days after you chosen start-date, what it predicts the stock level to be for each code. Each line will show the quantity to be produced and the stock-on-hand level. If the level goes to zero or negative, the report will just display NO-STOCK.
