SECTION 1.1.2 - MODIFY A DEBTOR
USAGE: Modify the details of an
existing Debtor. This option is only used for changing the static information
such as the Name. Normally, it is also possible to change the Debtor’s code
here, also.
DISCUSSION: When you start the MODIFY
program, the computer will initially ask for a code. Insert the code and press <Enter>.
To return to the DEBTOR MAINTENANCE MENU, press <ESC>.
To search for an account, press <F9>. For further details on searches, see SECTION 1.2.
Having entered a valid code, the computer will
display the current information pertaining to that account. You can modify any
of the fields that are surrounded by brackets. Also, you have the following
options available via the function keys:
<F1> This will cause HiFinance attempt to read the
previous Debtor record. If there is one, it will be displayed. HiFinance will
move to the previous record without saving any changes you might have
made.
<F2> This will cause HiFinance attempt to read the next
Debtor record. If there is one, it will be displayed. HiFinance will move to
the next record without saving any changes you might have made.
<F4> This allows you to enter or modify a note detailing
any non-structured information. The information you enter here will be displayed
during invoicing,
but will not be printed on the Invoice.
<F6> This allows you to enter or modify a delivery
address. This field will be printed on Invoices and Credit Notes in the area
allotted.
<F7> This allows you to enter or modify delivery instructions.
This field will be printed on Invoices and Credit Notes in the area allotted.
<F8> This initiates a search through the Salesman
master-file. The Salesman chosen will be automatically inserted into the
Salesman field.
<F9> This initiates a search through the Debtor Group
master-file. The Debtor Group chosen will be automatically inserted into the
Debtor Group field.
<F10> will complete your entry, after checking for any
inconsistencies and confirming your request. Your changes will be saved to
disk, over-writing any previously stored information.
<ESC> will return you to the Debtor code entry routine
without updating the Debtor master-file.
